New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) brings Velcro Fishing to the show this year. A big hit with the kids! They catch and identify the fish and get a prize. NYSDEC will also be selling fishing and hunting licenses, have a live fish display, and have an "I FISH NY" display with an educational interactive activity.

Here’s both fun and a challenge.  Using Nikon instruments, show goers will search a natural habitat hiding area to locate wildlife.  How many species can you identify?  On Sunday, Family Day, there will be prizes for kids who correctly identify the animals.

Here’s fun for the kids!  The Cold River Mining Company will be presenting the “Cave”.  Kids will be able to enter a dark cave like atmosphere and hunt for fossils.  This will present a unique and educational experience for children.  Cold River Mining will also have their gemstone-panning sluice where children can pan for gems and fossils.
