The No. 1 bass fishing teaching school comes to the World Fishing & Outdoor Exposition.  “The Bass University’s commitment to growing bass fishing through education is a perfect fit for the ASA/Eastern Fishing outdoor expos,” says Bass University co-owner Pete Gluszek.  Headlining the teaching team at the World Fishing & Outdoor Exposition will be Bassmaster Elite angler Ish Munroe. Frank Addington, Jr. began shooting a bow and arrow at age 4.  Is a protege' of the late Rev. Stacy Groscup.  Frank has been performing an instinctive archery exhibition for 27 years.

The Aspirinbuster show features an exciting display of archery, targets shot from mid air including multiple arrows and from large targets all the way down to very small targets.  Addington is believed to be the first archer in the history of the sport to hit a baby aspirin, three baby aspirin at once, and a mustard seed all from mid air--all by shooting with the bow held behind his back!    Addington can fire up to 12 arrows at once, a new shot he did for the first time in 2011.   He also can hit multiple ballons with one arrow. "Reel Kids" Casting Event gives kids of all ages instruction on the casting  skills needed in bass fishing. Flipping, Pitching and Casting. The three most used lure presentations in our sport of bass fishing will be taught.

Here’s fun for the kids!  The Cold River Mining Company will be presenting the “Cave”.  Kids will be able to enter a dark cave like atmosphere and hunt for fossils.  This will present a unique and educational experience for children.  Cold River Mining will again provide their gemstone-panning sluice in addition to the all new "Cave". (fee activity)

A bird of prey experience sure to delight the entire family. Get up close and personal with live hawks, owls and falcons. Lorrie Schumacher, master falconer, will explain the interaction of birds of prey with environmental conservation.
Fishing Simulator
Grab the rod and hold on, because you're guaranteed to hook a big one at our realistic fishing simulator. Watch on a large screen TV as the fish you've just hooked jumps and dives while the pull on the line exactly simulates the action of the fish. Fun for anglers of all ages.
