Ducks Unlimited Duck Box Building

Sunday features bird box building, an event sponsored by Ducks Unlimited. Children can build either a wood duck box, a tree swallow or a bluebird box. They can keep the bluebird box or tree swallow box, while wood duck boxes will be donated to the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife.  The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife will provide families with a report on the wood duck nesting project. This is hands-on fun that helps support local wildlife.

Free Plano Tackle Box
A free Plano Tackle Box will be given to the first 200 children 11 and under who attend the show on Sunday*
*Must be accompanied by a paying adult

A bird of prey experience sure to delight the entire family. Get up close and personal with live hawks, owls and falcons. Lorrie Schumacher, master falconer, will explain the interaction of birds of prey with environmental conservation. Lorrie will also present daily flying demonstrations.

Here’s fun for the kids!  The Cold River Mining Company will be presenting the “Cave”.  Kids will be able to enter a dark cave like atmosphere and hunt for fossils.  This will present a unique and educational experience for children.  Cold River Mining will again provide their gemstone-panning sluice in addition to the all new "Cave". Fishing Simulator
Grab the rod and hold on, because you're guaranteed to hook a big one at our realistic fishing simulator. Watch on a large screen TV as the fish you've just hooked jumps and dives while the pull on the line exactly simulates the action of the fish. Fun for anglers of all ages.

Archery Range
Here's a great opportunity to learn archery...no matter your age. Volunteers from the Worcester County League of Sportsmen's Clubs will be on hand to provide expert advice and instruction. Seasoned archers can also try out the latest in bows from exhibiting retailers.
